Greece: An Archaeological Roadtrip
Lizzie and I piled ourselves into a tiny, Fiat, dubbed Hercules, for a month-long road trip through Greece. Along the way we met and conversed with friendly Grecians using our smattering of Greek and lots of hand gestures, climbed the home of the Gods (Mt. Olympus), visited more archaeological sites than Lizzie cares to remember and christened every new town with a shot of Ouzo. Here are our crazy adventures through the mountains, plains, and peninsula’s of Greece.
- Athens: Intro to Greece and the National Museum
- Athens’ Ghosts of the Past: Acropolis, Ancient Agora, Temple of Hephaestus
- Athens: Climbing Palm Trees in an Ancient Cemetery, Windy Towers, and a Little Splash of Rome
- Temple of Poseidon at Sounion
